Need a Restart

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

My computer right now needs a restart badly. It has updated many softwares in the past few months and it is just acting up these days. It lags up badly at times and I have to restart my browsers because it is faster than restarting the whole computer.

Not that the computer is slow starting up, I just don’t want to restart it. This computer has only been restarted a handful of times since full assemble back in February. And I plan to keep it that way.

Wrong Time

Monday, September 15th, 2008

My Computer keeps switching its clock back 2 minutes a day for some reason. Well it isn’t an additional 2 minutes but its just 2 mins slower than usual.

I know you are thinking ‘why doesn’t this guy just change it?’ And I DO. It just changes back the next day which is annoying so I have been going with a 2 min slower time for the past few days. Hopefully I can find a solution soon.

Flash Drive Arrived

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

Earlier Tuesday morning my flash drive arrived. I ordered this over 2 weeks ago from an ebay seller who lives in the same city as me. It should have taken just 2 days to get here at max but it didn’t.

I actually had to file a claim against the seller with paypal just to get him to ship the item out. And even then he shipped it out 2 weeks after I ordered. I am very disappointed so I will not cancel my claim, I still want a partial refund for it all because I waited two weeks to do this? I don’t think so. Hopefully I can get a good amount back or else I will not call this to be a satisfactory transaction.

Laptop Finally Fixed

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

In the beginning of my summer vacation I told you that my Lenovo Laptop was really messed up and would not work properly. The touchpad would be messed up and the start menu would not respond because of that.

But earlier today I took the opportunity of a cancelled class to go to the laptop shop and get my laptop fixed properly and even have it upgraded with Microsoft Office 2007 installed which was great. They replaced my old hard drive so that’s another plus. Hopefully it will last for a very long time this time.

Dynex Laser Mouse

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

I actually got a Dynex 100 DPI Laser mouse a few months ago but only started to use it now. I tested it before but it was really light and felt weird when playing games so I just put it away until I decided to try it out again today.

It actually feels better and at the right mouse sensitivity it feels great now. It is a 5 button laser mouse which makes it easier to go forward and back in web pages along with forwarding and rewinding songs in itunes.

Computer Virus Protection

Friday, August 1st, 2008

The Computer Virus Protection service provided by Cyber Defender is one of the best I have seen. If you have a virus, trojan, worm, or any other type of malware in your computer, the last thing you want is to keep the virus in there and let it destroy your computer and hard drive slowly every minute of every day. There are some viruses that you can get rid of easily but there are some others that will pass your eyes even if you think you are good at it.

And there are other times where the viruses will go past your ordinary virus scanner and just destroy your computer little by little. The Cyber Defender stops viruses and everything before they step foot in your computer. Visit their web site at CyberDefender.com for more information on the cyber defender computer virus protection service. Your computer will feel better and it will run better than ever before.

CC Machine Ink

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Credit Card Processing machines also work like a cash register where it prints out a receipt. Well most of them have it while others are add ons of cash registers themselves. And the one at my parent’s shop uses an ink cartridge that has only 3 milliliters of ink. So you can assume it runs out pretty quickly.

We went through one whole cartridge in less than a month and I can assume the second one won’t last long either. So now I am to go out and get more cartridges for this thing.

Backed up Server Files

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

The past few hours, I’ve spent the time to back up the physical files of my game servers onto a flash drive and then bringing it over to my current pc. I plan to burn them onto a DVD and keep it there for safe keeping just in case I have to go for back ups.

I backed up my Counter Strike 1.6, Counter Strike Source, Teamspeak2, Team Fortress 2, and Battlefield 2 servers perfectly. I compressed them so I am not sure how big it will be when I extract them. Hope it isn’t too huge.
